The Fresh Market had it's long awaited grand opening yesterday, July 30, 2014. The new Village at Nellie Gail Ranch in Laguna Hills boasts a new market bursting with all things fresh. The Fresh Market delivers great wine, cheeses, baked goods, lean meats and focuses on the Local 100. Meaning most of the Fresh Market's inventory is farm to market within 100 miles.
As shoppers enter, there is an outdoor market feel. One can't escape the beauty of wrapped pink, red and yellow wrapped roses greeting shoppers through the front door. There are no excuses not to buy healthy here. Right out the gate, customers are hit with an elegant salad bar equipped for a 2 lb salad.
The store contains an impressive olive bar where olives are plump and stuffed with everything under the sun. Colorful, organic produce is scattered by the entrance to the store. The Fresh Market shouts "eat your veggies."
There's a fresh sushi and sandwich bar. Friendly butchers selling grass-fed, organic meats and an impressive bakery with nut breads like banana chocolate chip and zucchini.
Visit the new Fresh Market and the question of "What's for dinner?" will be answered. Customers pay a little more than other supermarkets, but the old saying: "You get what you pay for" is not just cliche in this instance.
