Fresh Grounds Coffee Café on West 7th in St Paul, MN serves coffee, a variety of foods, AND dishes up a heartfelt mission.
In partnership with the RS Eden Organization and Starbucks, which supports organizational efforts and supplies coffee at a super discount, Fresh Grounds seeks to help those who may need comfort, care and redirection. General Manager Anne Mayers notes, "without the help of partners like Starbucks, I don't know where we would be!"
Fresh Grounds Coffee located at 1362 West 7th is a full service café that serves food and community. Fresh Grounds offers an assortment of home-made baked goods, hot breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and plenty of good-works.
Fresh Grounds supports the mission of RS Eden, a non-profit agency that facilitates positive change in the areas of chemical dependency, family services, corrections and affordable housing.
An integral part of the West Seventh community, Fresh Grounds has a hospitality room hosting groups from knitters to bible study. Performance space is available for musicians- as is exhibit space for local artists. Many use Fresh Grounds as a platform for sharing their work with a larger audience for the first time. Students from a local elementary school recently colored and painted paper coffee cups to decorate the shop for Valentine's Day.
