A French fry burger has fast food lovers getting their taste buds in a twist this week and hitting the stands, as Burger King recently welcomed to their menu a tasty combo of favorite foods, a 360 calorie burger that combines both the meat patty and French fries. UPI reports this Tuesday, Aug. 27, that Burger King is bringing in a very cheap new option — a $1 cheeseburger filled with several French fries.
The French fry burger is not only said to be Burger King’s most recent effort in trying to keep up with McDonald’s popular “Dollar Menu,” but will be hitting the restaurants while staying friendly to fast food eaters’ wallets as well. It’s been said that the French fry burger is only going to cost consumers a single $1 per burger.
For people who are hoping that they won’t have to buy French fries with their burger now, however, that likely won’t be the case. Each burger serving is reported to only come with four French fries, so while the addition will likely be an added tasty treat to the classic sandwich, getting a side of fries will still likely be necessary.
The new burger (obviously) won’t be too healthy, either. Each serving will be a full 360 calories and over 19 grams of fat. The latest food option will be hitting Burger King restaurants this Sept. 1.
Of course, this French fry burger isn’t the only new fast food option making big headlines today. McDonald’s wings, called “Mighty Wings,” are also going to be a new addition to the menu, so many fans of burgers, fries, and wings will be able to enjoy a good mix of these at your favorite fast food restaurants.
Are you excited to try the French fry burger? Do you think something as simple as putting fries onto a burger will be the next big hit for Burger King?
