Sports? Check. Music? Check. Great food? Bingo! Yes, that’s right, The Buffalo Spot has got everything you’re looking for in a good casual restaurant. From a clean dining room to a skilled staff you will find that casual dining is at its best at The Buffalo Spot Restaurants.

On a regular basis, you will find The Buffalo Spot to be bustling with customers, lively with up-beat music and with several flat-screen televisions broadcasting the latest sporting events. Customers range in age from young to old, but the one thing that ties them together is the desire for tasty morsels to eat.

On this visit to the establishment local to Lemon Grove, this restaurant reviewer partook of “The World Famous Buffalo Fries” and was not disappointed. In fact, I think I’m hooked. Being a fan of French fries in general, once they are grouped with breaded, seasoned chicken and a special house dressing, I found the dish to be irresistible. What’s so great is that the chicken can be seasoned with anyone of 14 different buffalo sauces. Sauces include mild, medium, Cajun, original hot, pineapple jalapeno, very hot, atomic hot, honey BBQ, teriyaki, lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, Jamaican jerk, chipotle and my personal favorite sweet and sour.

As I delved into the Buffalo Fries I first noticed the crispiness of the breaded chicken followed by the outrageous flavors of the sauce coming through. Next, I noticed that the white dressing had spices of its own to co-mingle with the other flavors on my taste buds. Finally, the hardiness of the fries shined through and the whole dish explodes with flavor and substance in your mouth.

“The World Famous Buffalo Fries” come in three sizes: small, regular and large. The average appetite will probably find the small size to be sufficient for a meal. And get this…it comes at a jaw-dropping price of only $3.99. Other main dish items on the menu include baby back ribs, wings and tenders. New and interesting sides include items such as jalapeno poppers, onion rings, regular French fries, zucchini sticks, cheese sticks, mac & cheese, bread sticks, macaroni salad, potato salad and baked beans. For lighter fare, you might like to try one of their salads. They are served as buffalo chicken, caesar, Greek or a traditional side salad. And rounding out the menu, desserts include New York style cheesecake and strawberry cheesecake.

The Buffalo Spot is located in a convenient location in Lemon Grove at 7820 Broadway Avenue. Close to the trolley stop, you will find that this is a nice place to stop in for a bit while travelling through Lemon Grove. The Lemon Grove establishment is new, being only a few months old. On the other hand, other locations in Compton and Long Beach have been established a little longer. What’s more, there is one soon to come in South-East San Diego at 220 Euclid, Suite 180. If you’re like me and you like good food in a clean, friendly and up-beat environment, you’ll love The Buffalo Spot. Enjoy your meal!
