The French brand Kooples comes to the US with its first New York City flagship store, the French ready to wear brand got its start 2008 by Alexandre Laurent and Raphaël Elicha. The brand defines itself as ' high-end accessible [ for the young affluent and connected with the taste for that rocker and dandy style, the name Kooples itself comes from the English pronunciation of the word “Couples”.

The brand clothes are mixed and androgynous, often derived from the male styles. The 2,500 square feet store will be the French brand’s first New York flagship is expected to open by the end of August on West 14th Street in the Meatpacking District.

This July in San Francisco, Kooples recently opened the doors to a 2,000 square foot location on Fillmore Street and a second 3,320 location on South Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles also houses a corner for the brand’s secondary line, The Kooples Sport, in addition to its main collection.

About the brand

The universe of The Kooples is available on all media. Fragrance, light, soundtrack... Any vehicle the identity of the brand. The olfactory signature is signed by cire Trudon House.

The brochure of the claw takes the form of a journal29. Patrick Eudeline, Garance Doré and Ariel Wizman sign several articles16.

In July and August 2010, the brand displays his universe to the Galeries Lafayette in Paris. Videos and collections are then presented in three windows of the store, redecorated for the occasion30.

In 2008, Josh d family blocks 22 million euros via a holding company domiciled in Belgium13. With a starting capital of EUR 5 million and several banking partners14Alexander and Laurent create The Kooples. They are joined by Raphaël.

Two years later, The Kooples installs its Headquarters place Vendôme in Paris15.

In 2011, the brand has about 30 employees at Headquarters and 250 employees of sale across the France16. A year later, the claw employs 650 employees, all in TDCI11.

The same year, the claw Launches The Kooples Records, a record label producing pairs of artists17.
