The Grand Rapids National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Lake, Osceola and Clare counties and a Frost Advisory for Mason, Oceana, Muskegon, Kent, Ionia, Clinton, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Montcalm, and Gratiot counties from Midnight until 9 AM Saturday. The coldest temperatures are likely between 3AM and 8 AM.
Temperatures may dip into the upper 20s and lower 30s in the warning area and mid-30s for the counties under the advisory. For the southern counties that temperatures should stay in the upper 30s to near 40°.
Unprotected plants left outdoors may be damaged. Potted plants should be covered or brought inside away from the cold.
