Freedom Intermediate presents; The Idi-Odyssey

News from Freedom Intermediate’s play director, Pax Weimers:

Freedom Intermediate School presents our fall production of The Idi-Odyssey. The play was written by Burton Bumgarner and is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc. The Idi-Odyssey is a comic retelling of Homer's The Odyssey, as a mysterious teacher makes the story come to life for a group of students in after-school detention. Many of the characters take on popular identities in front of our misfit students and give them an experience that they're not soon to forget.

The public is invited to this humorous and fast-paced play for the whole family, performed by a cast of 30 FIS students, including Emma Messer, Jackson Smith, McKenzie Garey, Justin Kievit, Janelle Ickes, Sam Harris, and Kathryn Connally.

Performances are Thurday, October 6th and Saturday Oct. 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Freedom Intermediate School theater.  Children under 12 are admitted free with the purchase of one adult ticket.  Tickets for ages 13+ are $5.00.   All proceeds benefit the FIS drama department
