Animal lovers everywhere try to help local organizations, such as Freedom Fences, in their efforts to help dogs live a better life. Recently the group shared that hay they donate to some with outdoor dogs now costs as much as $5.00 a bale, which is twice what it cost last year.
Details on the Facebook Page for Freedom Fences includes the following about this group:
We are a group of volunteers that build fences for dogs living chained 24/7 in SC (Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens co). To qualify, families must demonstrate financial hardship (at/below the Federal Poverty level) and spay/neuter their pets.
Those wanting to donate online may appreciate the ease of using the site for Freedom Fences to do so. This group of volunteers continues to work in the cold and rain so that dogs will be released from their chains and live a better life.
If everyone gives just a few dollars, Freedom Fences will have more than needed to meet the goals of the group.
