Things can get rather pricey at The Most Magical Place on Earth however there are a number of free things you can experience or take with you.
Resorts
Anyone can visit a Disney resort. When you pull up to the security booth, present a valid ID and tell the guard you want to take a look around, take photos, dine or shop.
An abundance of cool things await including:
* View the Electrical Water Pageant from the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Fort Wilderness, or Wilderness Lodge. The procession begins at 9 PM most nights.
* Wildlife viewing at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
* Pianist/comedian Yehaa Bob Jackson's show at Port Orleans Riverside in the River Roost Lounge. There's no cover charge.
* Rix Lounge at Coronado Springs is a nightclub/bar with a DJ spinning Top 40 tunes Thursday thru Saturday. There's no cover charge.
* Fort Wilderness's campfire includes a singing cowboy, an appearance by Chip and Dale, and a feature film. Snacks and s'mores kits are available for purchase.
Theme Parks
* In Epcot children create crafts at Kidcot stations.
* Kids' Discovery Club gets children involved in hands-on learning at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
* The best freebie at Disney's Hollywood Studios comes from being selected to participate in or volunteering for Citizens of Hollywood, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, American Idol Experience, Phineas and Ferb, the Backlot Tour, and for kids only, the Jedi Training Academy. Some volunteers receive tokens such as special pins not for sale anywhere.
* Enjoy olde-fashioned flip-reel movie viewers on the platform level of the Walt Disney World Railroad's Main Street Station at the Magic Kingdom.
Downtown Disney and Boardwalk
* Atlantic Dance Hall is a free 21 and over club located on Disney's Boardwalk.
* Relax on a boat ride leaving from Yacht & Beach Club or Boardwalk and cruise to Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and the Swan and Dolphin resorts.
* Chocolate lovers head to Ghirardelli's in the Marketplace at Downtown Disney for a free sample.
* Enjoy additional Disney transportation such as the monorail which can be picked up at Epcot, the Ticket & Transportation Center, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian resorts. From Downtown Disney watercrafts travel to Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Port Orleans Riverside.
* Build whatever your imagination inspires at the Lego store in Downtown Disney's Marketplace. Thousands of Lego pieces are there to play with, just don't take them with you.
