The City of West Palm Beach’s annual e4 Sustainability Summit is about to take on a new format.
Instead of one multi-day conference, e4 (environment, economics, equity, energy) is evolving into four separate events between April and July for specific audiences including homeowners, families, businesses, and individuals – and this year the main topic is climate change.
The first event in the 2014 Sustainability Summit Series will be a free workshop on Climate Leadership Training scheduled for April 16 at Lake Pavilion, 101 South Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach.
Sponsored by the CLEO Institute – a Miami-based, not-for-profit organization advancing environmental literacy and civic engagement locally, regionally, nationally and globally – and the Department of Public Utilities' Office of Sustainability, the educational event will enable attendees to learn more about:
- The basic science of climate change,
- Promising climate change solution,
- Current efforts toward climate resilience, and
- Successful communications techniques.
Future events in the 2014 Sustainability Summit Series will include the e4 Business Forum in May, so stay tuned for more information.
