The 12th annual Starkweather Winter Solstice bonfire will be taking place on Saturday, December 21, 2013.
Beginning at 4:00 p.m and going to 7:00 p.m., the event is free and open to the public. Special events include drumming, singing, puppetry, refreshments, hot cider and bonfire celebrating the longest night of the year and the days getting longer.
Since this is an outdoor event, please dress warmly for the weather. It is held lakeside at Olbrich Park, right below the sledding hill at 3301 Atwood Avenue.
