Practical Resources for Churches (PRC) offers free monthly webinars for Christian educators. One of the most requested topics for the webinars has been on working with children with special needs in Sunday school and other ministry settings. On September 4, 2014, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. EDT, PRC will present a webinar on this topic.

The webinar is called “Working with Exceptional Children: ADHD and the Autism Spectrum” and you can register by clicking here. For those unable to attend the live webinar, the recording will be available to view for one year from the date of the broadcast; click on the link to register and you’ll be sent a link to view the recorded webinar.

Elizabeth Christie, a Christian Educator with the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and a certified special education teacher who has worked extensively with children and adult with various needs, will be presenting the webinar. She’ll be sharing practical information and strategies so that Christian educators can include everyone in their programs. She will explain the nuances of working with those with ADHD and autism so that programs can be built that work with all children’s strengths and God-given talents.
