Free triple-bill of folk-rock's finest at The Blank Club

Get over the mid-week bump at The Blank Club, as they take on three of the area's most regarded folk-rock acts. The 21+ show begins at 9 p.m., and features a fantastic representation of the Bay Area folk-rock favorites.

Opening the show, San Jose's own, Casey Jones, takes the stage, purveying her own brand of heart-on-sleeve honesty; both musically and lyrically. Next comes the ever eclectic San Jose native, Brooke D, as she delves into the creative side of folk, utilizing audio-loops and a capella beats to go along with her playful yet soulful, voice and guitar. Brooke comes off her latest E.P. "As We Pictured" release from earlier this year. Finally headlining the evening, Oakland's Bonnie and the Bang Bang continues their goal of using pledgemusic.com to release their debut, full-length album, "The Dark Dream." BBB's style employs a slough of instruments - mandolin, banjo and melodica - to aid their traditional, dark Americana fare.
