Amazon.com has announced they are giving away free trial subscriptions to Amazon Prime to those interested in using the streaming entertainment service and additional benefits first hand. Trial subscriptions are for 30 days and those who cancel before the trial has expired will not pay anything for the service. Amazon Prime includes the program Amazon Instant Video that allows members to stream entertainment programs such as movies and television shows to their home tv and other media devices. Members can watch on systems such as Kindle, PlayStation 3 and Xbox.
Those who shop for Amazon Prime eligible purchases will enjoy free, two-day shipping due to their membership. Other benefits include one free Kindle book from the lending library per month.
When using a free trial, it is important to cancel membership before the time period concludes. As with most free trial offers, Amazon requires a credit card or debit card to be registered before the free trial begins. This is due to the automatic upgrade process.
Basically, a free trial will automatically upgrade to the full, paying service unless you cancel before the trial concludes. Some companies are known for making the cancellation process difficult in order to get as many new members as possible.
