Green clothes and Irish tunes means it's that time of year. Honor St. Patrick at the free 98.7 FM L.A. Live St. Patrick's Day Festival presented by Bud Light on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Nokia Plaza L.A. Live.
L.A. Live and the City of Los Angeles are paying tribute to the Los Angeles Fire Department Historical Society with this third annual event. Enjoy free live entertainment, including traditional Irish music and dancing from one of California's top Irish/Celtic bands, Ken O'Malley and the Twilight Lords. Starting at 11:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Drum & Bagpipe Band is slated to play for a few hours. Nostalgia-fueled, power-chord 80s tribute band, Wayward Sons, hits the stage at 3 p.m. 98.7 FM DJ, Darren Rose, will be broadcasting live and giving away radio swag, concert tickets, gift cards and more! The rumor is: basketball stars Michael Cooper and A.C. Green might join the party. Other surprises are also in store!
If you own a motorcycle, participate in the Harley-Davidson Ride to L.A. Live, where hundreds of motorcycles will converge on Chick Hearn Court.
You can also view the Los Angeles Fire Department Historic Vehicles and Honor Guard.
