Lads and lasses, get ready to don some green! Lucky for you, St. Patrick's Day, March 17, falls on a Sunday this year, leaving you plenty of time to celebrate You won't need a four- leaf clover to enjoy free live music from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on the West Patio of the Original Farmers Market.
To get you in the mood, Glen the bagpiper will be strolling around the market even earlier, starting at 1 p.m. Or, click here to view a previous St. Patty's Day event. "Ireland's own Christy Moore of Los Angeles," Jerry McLean, will hit the West Patio stage to perform traditional Irish folk music live from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Patronize Magee's Kitchen for their famous corned beef, cabbage and potatoes special. Stroll over to E.B.'s Beer and Wine for some green beer. Then, make a typical Irish toast: "May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, may good luck pursue you each morning and night."
You'll be forgiven if you "kiss the blarney stone."
