According to the website, www.cancer.org, more than two million Americans are diagnoses with skin cancer a year.
With this frightening statistic is the knowledge that early detection can save lives. This Saturday, even those without health insurance, can have a screening to help detect skin cancer.
To help people see if they might have skin cancer, the Wayne State University Physician Group's Family Medicine, www.wsupgdocs.org, will be holding a skin cancer screening. There will be no cost to anyone coming.
It will be held May 19 from 9:30 am to 1 pm at 1135 W. University Drive, Suite 250, Rochester Hills. It's right behind Crittenton Hospital.
Although walk ins are accepted, reservations are encouraged.
