On February 1, 2014, the annual IHOP miracle balloon campaign began and will continue until IHOP National Pancake Day 2014. No, it’s not just a silly little made-up holiday. This event gives and keeps on giving to help local charities through the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

Head to any participating IHOP Restaurant on Tuesday, March 4, and you will be served one free short stack of IHOP’s signature delicious buttermilk pancakes. IHOP National Pancake Day is on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Come ready to eat, starting at 7 a.m. till 10 p.m.

The pancakes are free, but the event is an effort to bring out the most generous who want to support the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. The organizers of the event hope diners will donate at least the cost of what they would have paid for the pancakes, or $5.

Every guest who makes a $5 donation will receive a coupon good for $5 off their next visit. In essence, those who donate $5 end up getting two IHOP meals for free.

Every penny, nickel, dime, or dollars will be donated directly to help local charities to allow the charities to be able to provide vital equipment, life-saving procedures and critical care for sick and injured children.

There are more than 12 IHOP restaurants in the St. Louis area. Visit to find a participating restaurant near you.
