The Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB) will offer owners of dogs and cats free DA2PP/FVRCP and rabies vaccinations for their pets on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 11a.m. Caretakers of community cats can also take advantage of the offer and have to have the cats in traps.
The HSTB, Animal Coalition of Tampa (ACT) and Hillsborough County Animal Services are sponsoring the free Shot Clinic as a precaution to keep the community safe in response to the recent rabies case in Hillsborough County.
Residents of zip code 33624 will also have the opportunity to receive free licenses for their pets but must present a valid ID.
Pet owners interested in the free Shot Clinic, which allows for four pets per household, have to bring their dogs on leashes and their cats in carriers. The pets must be at least 8 weeks old to receive DA2PP/FVRCP vaccines and at least 3 months old to receive rabies vaccinations. The free Shot Clinic will take place at Northdale Park at 15550 Spring Pine Drive in Tampa, Fla. For directions, click here.
