You can get all this information at the June 15th program of the Seminole Bromeliad and Tropical Plant Society, which will be all about bamboo! Sherry Boas, owner of Beautiful Bamboo nursery will talk about the benefits of growing bamboo and the different types that do well in Central Florida.
Sherry and her family have been growing bamboo for over 20 years. With more than 30 varieties available at their nursery in Groveland, they have a bamboo for every purpose. Whether you want privacy, beauty, or materials for staking and construction, there is a bamboo for you!
Sherry will be bringing bamboo plants for sale during the meeting so if you see something you like you can take it home with you! Members of the club will be selling other tropicals and there will also be a plant raffle.
