The Free photos available at David George Photography are beginning to be available tonight. It is not a finished product yet. The photos need the names edited if you care, the photos are all in one gallery at this time. They will be separated into galleries that reflect what the photos show. There will be photos of some people also. Some people associated with this project early on signed irrevocable, unconditional releases. I am one of those people as is one of the infringers. That ought to be fun. I hold the copyright and the releases for all of them so I am including some of them in the free photos.
The link on the home page is on the navigation bar just under the header photo. One note. The header is NOT a free photo. It is a registered copyrighted image not a free one. There may be a few registered images show up on the site. They will not be there long as they are not supposed to be uploaded to the site. If one gets there and you download it, it is covered by normal copyright restrictions.
Right now and maybe for a while you can access the gallery using the photo gallery button under the header photo. Currently there is only one gallery there. You can click on the gallery and look at the photos one at a time or you can see a slide show, stop it and download the photo using the right click function. You can watch the slide show and the hunt the photo down as there is a slider under the slide show.
Enjoy. I would appreciate you spreading the word. The give away is part of the effort to spread the word on the non profit Studio 1, Inc. to help kids and disabled people to get into the arts.
These photographs are copyrighted by me. You are given a personal use license that is really simple. You can use them for computer wallpapers, cards, stationary, personal webpages and even post them if you give credit to the website or me. They cannot be used on any site that is considered commercial and generates income. Images for those sites are pay images only. If they are used for that purpose the normal copyright rules and laws apply as that is a violation of the personal use license that is granted. These photos may or may not be registered. As stated before I do not anticipate any registered photos showing up on the site but there may be a few slip through. If we find that we did post one and we find that you have it online, we have the right to ask you to take it down. If you do, there is nothing more to be done, if you do not we have the option to consider it infringement on your part.
