February 16 there will be a free pet clinic for low income families in the county area. The clinic covers an educational seminar to help people understand the proper care of their pet and the consequences of not obtaining a dog license and providing adequate care.
There will be free informational handouts, and dog licenses will be available for purchase. Licenses cost is $18.00 per dog. People purchasing a dog license, at this event only, will receive a free bag of Iams Dog Food.
Other events are a rabies vaccine clinic, dog nail trims, and a turn in opportunite to surrender your pet in the event you can not purchase a license or care for it properly.
Friends of Leroy Brown will be on hand to help with training and obedience questions. Future classes are in the works.
The event will be held at the Cheryl Allen Center 1802 S. Central Ave., Lima, OH from 10 am to noon. For more information contact the center or the Allen County Dog Warden.
