On Saturday, February 9, 2013, the Oklahoma Humane Society is offering FREE pet adoptions (dogs and cats) from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at their Adoption Center located at 7500 N. Western Avenue in Oklahoma City.
This special day is called 'My Furry Valentine free adoption event'. They will also have FREE cats for adoption at the Edmond PetSmart (beginning at 11:00 a.m.) and I-240 PetSmart (beginning at 9:00 a.m.). The address for the Edmond PetSmart is 1921 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK. The address for the I-240 PetSmart is 1417 West I-240 Service Road, Oklahoma City, OK.
Those people who wish to adopt a pet will fill out a short adoption questionnaire and talk with an adoption counselor prior to being able to adopt. They will then fill out adoption paperwork and take the animal home the same day. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated as appropriate for their age, micro-chipped, de-wormed and healthy at the time of adoption. Every animal will also go home with an ID tag.
