Free online gardening magazine

Horticulture magazine has an online magazine, ‘Gardeners on the Go’, and they have released the Winter 2012 issue (no, I don’t know why it’s 2012 instead of 2013, other than that winter starts on the solstice in December perhaps). As the title suggests, there are several articles on garden destinations- the Bok Tower Gardens, The Alaska Botanical Garden, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, a special community garden in Tennessee, the many gardens that can be visited in Charleston- interspersed with tips on seed starting, great garden tools, designing bird friendly gardens, gardening things to occupy yourself with in winter, how one gardener made a fantastic garden in a very small space, houseplants, and potatoes.

The magazine is free, of course (it’s advertising supported) and downloads very quickly. Sadly, I couldn’t figure out if there was a way to save it to the hard drive for off line reading, but you may have better luck than I did!
