On February 28th from 1 to 4 pm, there will be a free online career fair sponsored by Women For Hire. Through the fair, women will have the opportunity to speak directly with leading employers. They will also have the chance to receive free career advice and guidance.
Here is how it works. First, women select organizations that they find interesting. Participants will be led to a private online booth to speak directly about their experience and career interests with employers.
Since you get to chat with recruiters through the computer, it is a good idea to prepare for the career fair by writing down your career goals and pertinent experience ahead of time. Although this is not a face-to-face interview, you should still be professional during the chat session and act like the recruiter was sitting right in front of you. If you get nervous before going on interviews, the online fair will be the perfect outlet to practice talking about your skills and experience.
Women For Hire was founded in 1999 by Tory Johnson, a Workplace Contributor for ABC's Good Morning America. Women for Hire provides a variety of recruitment services for women including career expos, seminars, a magazine, online job board and website.
