If you are a Bank of America customer or a Merrill Lynch debit or credit cardholder then you have a free opportunity to enjoy many of the museums across the nation. The name of the program is called "Museums on Us" and this is the 17th year that the company has shared the cultural benefit.

The first full weekend of every month, the program provides free admission to a full list of 150 museums, botanical gardens, aquariums, science centers and art institutions in over 31 states and across nearly 100 cities. For the complete list, check the link above and select your state and city to find the participating museum nearest to you. Plus you will find there is a calendar reminder for 2014.

San Antonio is on the list, as well as Austin, Chicago, New York City and many other cities. Keep this in mind if you are traveling and want to take in a museum visit while on vacation.

Some new additions to the museum list include the following in our area.
