Free movie-in-the-park event

If you're looking for something different and inexpensive to do with your family, then Rose Park in Abilene is the place to be Friday, July 9. That is when the City of Abilene's Recreation Division and AEP will sponsor Movie in the Park, starting at 9 p.m.

The free event will be held at the Rose Park Amphitheater, located at 2601 South 7th. The Blind Side will be the featured movie. If you haven't seen the movie, check out this great review in World Magazine.

Bring your favorite snacks, blankets and lawn chairs, and enjoy the movie with family and friends.
