Free movie screening at Holy Cacao, Tuesday, August 3

If you haven’t checked out the Holy Cacao food trailer, Tuesday, August 3 will be a great night to visit. The trailer is hosting a benefit that night that will feature a free screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

The Holy Cacao trailer is one of the most delicious food stops at the South Austin Trailer Park & Eatery, located at 1311 South 1st Street. The trailer sells several flavors of drinking chocolate, as well as its famous cake balls, which are hunks of baked cake mixed with frosting that are rolled into balls, dipped in chocolate and served on popsicle sticks.

Tuesday’s benefit is for Mobile Loaves & Fishes, a local nonprofit that helps Austin’s homeless. Just bring one bottle of water (or more, if you are so inclined!) per person, and each attendee will get a Candy Cake Ball, specially created for the event, and can enjoy screenings at 7 p.m. of both Holy Cacao’s recent Food Network appearance on the Kid in a Candy Store show and the classic version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. One admission ticket will be a Golden Ticket, which will win the bearer a dozen free cake balls every month for a year.
