Free Kindle books: March 9 (Photos)

Here is a list of today’s free Kindle books. Yesterday’s selections were for kids. Today, I changed it up with five books for adults. I chose a variety of books from different genres to offer up something for almost everyone. Check back tomorrow for another set of free books for your Kindle. All the books below were downloaded and opened on an original Kindle Fire. Be sure to check out a book’s free preview when available before you download.

Homespun Bride

Written by Jillian Hart. The setting is Montana Territory in 1883. Noelle Kramer is a blind woman, desperately trying to live independently. When she is thrown from her horse into an icy river, a man from her past comes to save her. The book is a love story placed in a historical setting.

Hide in Plain Sight

Written by Marta Perry. Considered a love inspired suspense story. Financial expert Andrea Hampton trades life in the big city for a plain life in Amish country when her sister is injured. Andrea wants to help turn her grandmother’s house into an inn but a rash of accidents and weird occurrences make her believe that someone or something is trying to stop them.

Les Miserables, English version

Written by Victor Hugo. A classic tale of political upheaval in 19th century France. This is a condensed version missing many of the sub-plots but the main struggle of Jean Valjean to overcome desperate circumstances remains strong. This version is great if you want a lighter read than Hugo’s full version.

Fuel Fantastic Sugar Cleanse; Free yourself of Sugar’s grasp in 21 days or less

Written by Kelly Fitzsimmons. This book is well written and researched. Fitzsimmons takes the time to explain why sugar is bad for you. Following the cleanse you will feel better and have more energy. This one grabbed my attention because my father is a diabetic and my husband is having blood sugar issues.

Fibromyalgia; a guide to understanding the journey

Written by Shelly Bolton. This book is free to Kindle Prime members with access to the Kindle Lending Library. The book’s title says it all. Shelly Bolton describes what it is like to live with this disease, which is often misdiagnosed. Worth reading if you have fibromyalgia or have someone in your life with this disease.

Lynda Altman loves her Kindle Fire. She uses the Kindle daily when homeschooling her kids. Get notices when this page is updated by clicking on the above link or contact Lynda @fusgeyer on Twitter.

I have owned and loved my Kindle Fire since November 2011. My husband bought it for me so that I would not go crazy when I was in the hospital for cancer treatment. You can go broke if you pay for all of the books out there. I've learned how to find the best free Kindle books by necessity.
