Free Kindle books: March 10 (Photos)

Today’s list of free Kindle books is from the Kindle Lending Library. Anyone with a Kindle can access the lending library with a Prime subscription. My article about the Kindle Lending Library tells you everything you need to know in order to access this handy feature. Check out the free previews before you click on the download. You only get one book per month from the lending library and if you don’t like the book, you are out of luck until next month.

If you have reached your library limit, use the wish list feature and add these books to a reading list wish list. This way you can develop a list of books you want to read for free. I rarely pay for books anymore, thank to my Kindle.

The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People

Written by Steven R.Covey. This book was originally published in 1990 but it still ranks on the business best seller list. Steven R. Covey gives the reader a step-by-step approach on how to handle their lives with integrity, fairness, service, and human dignity. Learn how to handle and accept change in a positive way. There is a free preview for this book.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Book 1)

Written by J.K. Rowling. This is the book that started it all. Suitable for all ages. This makes a great family read, I remember reading this to my kids at night when they were small. This is the first book in the Harry Potter series. In this book, Harry Potter embarks on his journey at Hogwart’s School of Wizardry. We learn about Harry and the tragic death of his parents.

The Hunger Games

Written by Suzanne Collins. Here is another book that sparked a movie. I would recommend that all tweens and teens read this. It is well written and will hold the attention of adults as well. The nation of Panem, formerly known as North America, consist of a capitol city surrounded by 12 outlying districts. Every year, each district must send two children between the ages of 12 and 18 to compete in a fight-to-the-death event on TV. Katniss Everdeen, the heroine of the story, sees this as a death sentence when she gets the order to go to the games.

Incredibly Delicious Salad Recipes from the Mediterranean Region

Written by Vessela Tabakova. Cookbooks are one of my favorite things to have on my Kindle. It makes sense to get them through the lending library, this way you can save the recipes you want and be done with the rest. The salads in this book are tasty and give you something different from the standard mixed green salad or iceberg based house salads. If you are following the Mediterranean Diet, this book is a must have.

The Litigators

Written by John Grisham. The law firm of Finley and Figg is ready to tackle a case that could make these shady partners rich—without requiring them to actually practice much law. A class action suit has been brought against Varrick Labs, a pharmaceutical giant with annual sales of $25 billion, alleging that Krayoxx, its most popular drug, causes heart attacks. The partners smell money. All the firm has to do is find a handful of Krayoxx users to join the suit. It almost seems too good to be true.

I have owned and loved my Kindle Fire since November 2011. My husband bought it for me so that I would not go crazy when I was in the hospital for cancer treatment. You can go broke if you pay for all of the books out there. I've learned how to find the best free Kindle books by necessity.
