Kids Vision Fest 2013 will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Tarrant County College Trinity River campus from 11 am to 4 pm. All children will receive a free vision screening and those children ages 5 to 12 years that qualify under the federal poverty guidelines will also be eligible to receive free eye exams and glasses.
This is becoming an annual event as the Fort Worth ISD recognizes the first Friday in February as a student holiday. The college is located at 300 Trinity Campus Circle in Forth Worth. In an effort to eliminate poor vision and its lifelong consequences, The Alcon Foundation, Essilor Vision Foundation and the Kids Vision for Life - Tarrant County Coalition are hosting this event.
IMPORTANT: Students who bring vision referrals from school nurses will be given priority on a first-come, first-served basis. Organizations bringing groups of children are strongly encouraged to SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS. Organizations that book in advance will be scheduled beginning at 9 a.m. before the doors open to the public.
Parking available in nearby lots. Public transportation is also nearby.

A special meeting of Tarrant County leaders will commence at 10 am in Energy Auditorium for a roundtable forum to discuss children’s vision care and its long-term impact on education, society and economy.
