Free iPhone apps worth getting, watch 'Oscars' online live and free

Free iPhone apps for iPad, iPod Touch worth getting today include the free iPhone app, ”Clear” which is now a universal app for iPad and iPod Touch, as news comes that you can watch the “Oscars” online and free, according to a Feb. 27 report in Time.

In a big app deal today, “Clear” (Reg. $4.99), is free. This to-do list maker is both simple and powerful. What's more, this app is very intuitive. Just drag to reorder an item in your to-do list, or swipe to cross it out, or look at the item's color to see how important it is. This app can be downloaded for free from either the iPhone or iPad side of the App Store.

You can now watch a free, live streaming of Sunday's “Oscars” on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch (or Android device) for the first time in history. The free app “Watch ABC” allows viewers to see the entire awards ceremony with host Ellen DeGeneres. For Apple users, this app is available for free download from the App Store. For Android users, this app can be downloaded from Google Play. You can also view the “Oscars” in its entirety at the ABC website. There's just one catch—you need a cable subscription from Cablevision, FiOS, Comcast, Charter Communications, Cox Communications, Midcontinent Communications, Google Fiber or ATT U-Verse. But unless viewers want to watch the “Oscars” from a bench in a local train station, or a booth in Starbucks, they would need an legal internet connection without caps anyway—right?

Whether viewers are watching the “Oscars” through the free app “Watch ABC” or the ABC website, viewers will be able to see live and exclusive footage of what's going on behind the scenes during the broadcast.

Flying high today in downloads is the free iPhone app, “Duck Destroyer”. With 150 missions to complete, there's lots of duck hunting going on in this app—including hunting for ducks in space and in the Arctic. Unlike traditional ducks though, these ducks fight back and you'll need more than a shotgun to to bring them home for dinner.

“Clear—Tasks & To Do List” requires iOS 7.0+ is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.

“Watch ABC” is rated 12+ for horror, mature themes, sexual content, alcohol, tobacco and drug use references, profanity, crude humor and violence. This free app requires iOS 5.0+, is optimized for iPhone 5 and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

“Duck Destroyer” is rated 12+ for violence and requires iOS 6.0+. This free app is compatible with iPhone 4+, iPad+, and is optimized for iPhone 5.
