Today's free iPhone apps for iPad, and iPod Touch worth getting now include the free iPhone app, “Infodeck”, which protects your privacy with military-grade encryption, as Apple expands its iPhone trade-in program to Canada, according to 9to5Mac (Feb. 23).

While Apple has issued a free update to iOS on Friday, fixing a security bug which could be exploited by hackers, security and privacy protection is always a concern. This is where the free iPhone app, “Infodeck” comes in. This free app uses military-grade encryption to store your personal data, like bank account and credit card info, so safely that it would be almost impossible for a hacker to get it. You can quickly add your information to this app through templates. A passcode lock provides an additional layer of security. What's more, this app syncs with your family's other iPhones so this important data can be securely shared with a spouse.

For anyone who doesn't know, Apple has an iPhone trade-in program in the United States for customers who either want a new iPhone or choose to dispose of their old phone in an environmentally safe way. If consumer or business customers want a new iPhone, this “Apple Store Reuse and Recycling Program” gives them a store credit for their old, working iPhone –even if moisture sensors indicate water damage. Well, Apple will soon expand this program to Canada.

“WhatsApp” has been in the news lately thanks to a major outage that followed its sale to Facebook (Facebook wasn't responsible for the outage). But if you're looking for a free app with a free messaging service like “WhatsApp” that's reliable, safe, secure and fast, you might want to take a look at “Telegram Messenger”, which added 800,000 users in just four hours when “WhatsApp” went down. This efficient app helps you participate in group chats, share 1GB videos, send multiple photos and instantly forward media that you discover on the web. You can also create private chats with end-to-end encryption for additional security—which can be set to self-destruct so there's no evidence of any conversation. Plus, this free app has no ads.

“Infodeck” is rated 9+ for profanity, crude humor and mature themes. This free app requires iOS 6.1+, is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.

“Telegram Messenger” requires iOS 6.0+, is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is optimized for iPhone 5. This free app can be downloaded from the iPhone section of the App Store.
