The free iPhone apps for today include the free app “AirMusic” (Reg. $2.99), as the iPhone 6 countdown begins with the upcoming Apple WWDC on June 2, according to an April 4 report in “International Businesss Times”.
The groundbreaking free iPhone app, “Air Music”, builds on the really exciting trend of Apple apps integrating with non-Apple systems, like the free Kindle app that accesses the Amazon bookstore. In the case of the free iPhone app, “Air Music”, you can access and stream your music from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch music library over Wi-Fi to your Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC that uses Windows Media Player, and Google's Chromecast —or any DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible television.
What's more, “Air Music” has an awesome real time light show, connects to iCloud, is compatible with DRM-free iTunes songs and is easy to set up because it works completely over Wi-Fi and there are no wires.
Apple's WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) kicks off June 2 and with the start of this conference is the beginning of the iPhone 6 release-date countdown. Developers can register from now to April 7 at 1 p.m. (Eastern). Tickets will be randomly distributed to give each developer a chance to get a ticket for the conference that starts on June 2. There are also chances for students to win scholarships, according to an April 3 report in Apple Insider.
It is during the five day WWDC in San Francisco where Apple will reveal iOS 8, the next generation of the operating system that will power the iPhone 6, as well as the upcoming iPads. By knowing the capabilities of iOS 8, it will be possible to estimate what the minimum specs will be for the iPhone 6. What is know so far is that the iPhone 6 will have a new generation processor (A8) using the current desktop-class 64-byte computing standard, with greater speed and less energy consumption.
