Free iPhone apps for iPad, iPod Touch too for downloading now news comes as Apple gives away a free download today of Lorde's new single “No Better”, according to a Dec. 16 report in 9to5Mac. The surprise gift in “12 Days of Gifts” app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch also includes the music video of Lorde's earlier hit, “Royals”.

“12 Days of Gifts” is a free app that Apple gives away to celebrate the holidays. While this is the first year that “12 Days of Gifts” is in the App Store in the United States, this free holiday app is a tradition in other countries, especially in Europe. With this free app you get today's surprise gifts plus any other surprise free downloads before Christmas, and then a free gift each day starting on Dec. 26 and continuing each day until midnight on Jan. 6 (called “Little Christmas”). Be sure to allow notifications for this app so you don't miss any free downloads (which could be songs, movies, books or more).

Talking about free Christmas apps, the most popular Christmas game app today is “Christmas Pets Nail Salon”. This is a fun makeover game for young girls who decorate the paws of pets with nail polish, jewelry, stickers and more.

Trending popular today is “Dark Arena: The Carnival (Full)” in a big app deal that brings this $4.99 game to free. In a cool app deal today “iClub Manager” has dropped its price from 99 cents to free. In this game you are the manager of a soccer (football) club. You do everything from signing stars and creating the lineup to adjusting ticket prices, improving the stadium, trading players and more. You goal is to move up and become the manager of a top team in a top division. Supports Game Center so you can compete with your friends.

The most popular app today in Photo Apps is also one of the coolest apps, “Flipside Camera”. This free app (Reg. 99 cents) gives users a whole new way to snap a selfie. It does this by snapping a photo using the rear camera and the front camera—then combines them! For example, you could take a photo of a Christmas tree, then one of you, and this free app will produce a picture of you in front of the Christmas tree—without you having to do any editing. Cool!
