Free iPhone app lets you communicate without internet or mobile connection

A free iPhone app lets you communicate without an internet or mobile connection, according to a March 24 report by “Capital Lifestyle” via "Lifestyle Magazine”.

What's more, this free iPhone app lets you instantly message and share photos with anyone around you on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

With the free “FireChat” app users can now communicate at the beach, in the subway, at a baseball or football game, at a marathon, in a concert—or even while camping in a rural location—because an internet connection or mobile phone coverage is no longer necessary.

“FireChat” and the technology this app uses is set to revolutionize the way we connect with each other.

Because “FireChat” doesn't need an internet or mobile connection, it can be used to chat with others when cell phone towers are either not working or congested—or when traveling in other countries when governments conspire to block mobile phone and internet connections.

“FireChat” is built using a new technology in Apple's iOS 7 called Multipeer Connectivity Framework to connect iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.

Multipeer Connectivity Framework technology creates dynamic peer-to-peer networks in a chain of users that is constantly changing and works like “AirDrop”, the free Apple feature in iOS 7 that lets users share files—like photos—without the need for a Wi-Fi connection.

Features of “Fire Chat” include:

  • Chatting or sharing photos with anyone around you using your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

  • Creating private conversations that only people that you want to join can see

  • The option to see what people are saying in public conversations

  • No need for an internet or mobile phone connection

  • No password necessary

  • Can be used at home or anywhere in the world

  • Doesn't drain the battery

“FireChat” is rated 12+ for mild profanity, sexual content, references to alcohol, tobacco or drug use, requires iOS 7.0+ and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. “FireChat” is optimized for iPhone 5. This app can be downloaded in the iPhone-only section of the App Store.
