Here are some really cool and free iPad, iPhone and iPod touch apps that have just arrived at the App Store
According to a Mar. 12 report in “All App News”, “Tumblr” has just released a massive update to the App Store. “Tumblr” is the very popular microblogging platform and social networking site for teens.
This update includes some amazing updates like a brand new camera, which lets you create photosets right from the app. Plus, it's now very easy to link posts (just copy the URL), change your profile (simply tap your avatar) and like a post (just double-tap it). Free.
Talking about popular apps, “Plant Nanny”, which is trending very popular right now, just had it's price dropped to free today. This app is a fun way to remind you to do the healthy thing and drink the right amount of water each day. Water can improve the way your body looks, help you lose weight and be more fit.
After you download this app, you select a virtual plant to care for. You also choose which flowerpot to put it in. As time passes, the sunny scene changes to night and along the way your plant reminds you to drink a cup of water, until you've had the required number of cups for that day. Each time you drink a cup of water, your plant does too, and, over time, grows. (The idea behind this is that both plants and humans need a certain amount of water each day to be healthy). Free.
Also new to the App Store today is a really cool first-person shooter called “Watchtower: The Last Stand”. In this game, monsters have conquered the world. All that is left of humankind is living in a castle that is now under attack by waves of these hungry creatures. Your mission is to guard a watchtower that overlooks a broken wall and prevent the monsters from getting past your defense and attacking the castle gate.
To help you survive this endless battle, you can use different weapons (including rocket launches), booby traps and dynamite. Of course, when night comes you'll have to use illuminating shells. Also, if your position looks like its about to be overwhelmed, you can use bombs. Free.
All these free apps are compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. We'll be back next time with more news and free apps for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch!
