Free iPad, Phone apps worth downloading today include “NBC," which sends shows to your television, according to an April 12 report in Engadget. Another free iPad app worth downloading is “Printer Pro," which works on iPhone and iPod touch too.

“Printer Pro," regularly $4.99, lets users print attachments, documents, website pages and more from the iPad, iPhone or iPod touch on any Wi-Fi or USB printer. With this free app users can print email messages and PDF documents in addition to “Word," “Excel," “PowerPoint," “Pages," “Numbers” and “Keynote” documents.

The “NBC' free iPad, iPhone app now includes “AirPlay” support. So, instead of watching shows on your iPad or iPhone, you can watch your favorite “NBC” shows for free on your big screen television while your iPad or iPhone becomes the secondary screen. Besides letting you watch full episodes of late-night, primetime and daytime shows, this free “NBC” app also watch highlights of shows and previews.

Talking about watching shows for free, if you are a fan of “Comedy Central” you can watch the full and latest episodes of “The Daily Show," “The Colbert Report” and other “Comedy Central” shows for free. What's more, no television provider sign-in is necessary to watch the latest episodes.

A very popular free app, today, is “Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff." In this free app Peter has accidentally destroyed Quahog and it is your job to rebuild the city. This app contains exclusive content and is only available for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Climbing the download charts is the free app, “Spy Wars," a new combat strategy game for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Here your goal is to hack computers, crack safes, set traps and defeat your opponent's defenses in a race to restore the global balance of power.

Free today too is the iPad app, “Driving Curve." This free app—which is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch-- uses GPS to capture your speed and evaluate your driving performance. The result is a review of your driving habits and tips on how to improve fuel efficiency based on these habits. Plus, you have the option of sending the results to “Facebook” and competing with your friends to see which person is the smoothest driver.

“Printer Pro” is available for free download from the iPhone-only section of the App Store. This free requires iOS 6.0 or later, is compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.
“NBC” is rated 12 or higher for sexual content, references to drugs, alcohol and tobacco use, mature themes, horror themes, violence, profanity and crude humor. This free iPad app requires iOS 7.0 or higher, is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.

“Comedy Central” is rated 12 or higher for profanity, crude humor, violence, mature themes, references to drug, alcohol and tobacco use, horror themes and sexual content and nudity. This free app requires iOS 7.0 or later, is compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.

“Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff” is rated 17 or higher for sexual content, violence, profanity, crude humor, mature themes and references to drug, alcohol and tobacco use. This free app requires iOS 5.0 or later, is compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.

“Spy Wars” is rated nine or higher for violence. This free iPad app requires iOS 5.0 or later, is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.
