Ever thought of visiting the hospital when you are well? How about going there without an appointment, scheduled procedure, or sick family/friend to visit? Believe it or not, it could be less weird than you may think. Make plans to check out a special event in Arlington (Fort Worth's next door neighbor) this weekend.
USMD Hospital of Arlington is holding an open house - and you are invited. They are throwing open the doors for the public to pay them a visit. This is your opportunity to poke about and speak to those hard working people who try their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
As an added bonus, they are offering FREE (yes, you read that right) blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and BMI screenings.
“The health screenings are a great way for individuals to be proactive about their health,” says Marcia Crim, RN, BSN, MS, chief executive officer and chief nursing officer of USMD Hospital at Arlington. “It’s important to have these screenings on a routine basis because they provide valuable insights into your overall health.”
Did you know that USMD Arlington is a leading robotic procedures hospital? Well, if you missed out on the opportunity to run Curiosity (the robot currently roaming around on Mars), during this annual health fair, you can have a turn at running one of the robots used during a prostate procedure. You can also hear from NFL Hall of Fame's Bob Lilly at USMD's Prostate Cancer Center’s open house.
As you can imagine, the opportunity to get a free screening is very popular, so you'll need to register at 888-444-USMD.
