CVS Pharmacy is holding over 800 free health screening events across the country this fall. On Saturday October 29th and Sunday October 30th, Dallas and Fort Worth residents can take advantage of the services here in the metroplex.

The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. both days at pavilions set up in the parking lots. No appointment is necessary, but some wait time is to be expected. The following locations are participating on this date.

4207 Lemmon Avenue
Dallas, TX 75219

2603 W. Berry Street
Fort Worth, TX 76109

If you cannot make the event this weekend but are interested in the free screenings, there will be additional events during the month of November at select Dallas and Arlington locations.

The following services are provided free of charge:

  • blood pressure screening
  • diabetes screening
  • bone density screening
  • cholesterol screening*
  • vision screening
  • doctor consultation
  • medication review with pharmacist**
  • referrals for women's services

*If you would like to receive the cholesterol screening, please fast for at least four hours prior to your visit.
**The medication review will be done for those who bring all their current medications to the event.

CVS pharmacist Andre Mackey says, "It is important to understand your risk for chronic diseases before they become a serious health issue in the future." That is why CVS pharmacy is holding these free events. The number of people without health insurance is high and "cost shouldn't be a barrier to preventive care."
