Free Halloween events in West Seattle

Those who are looking for Halloween fun without the scary prices will appreciate these free Halloween events in West Seattle.

  • 10/30/09:  Free showing of the movie "Nightmare Before Christmas" - a special indoor Movies on the Wall presentation. Located at 4400 42nd Ave SW.  Doors open at 6pm, movie starts at 7pm.
  • 10/30/09: Fall Carnival at Alki Community Center, 6:30pm - 8:30pm. This carnival features 20 carnival games, prizes, candy, refreshments, and costume contest. 
    Admission is free, game tickets cost $0.25 -$0.50.
  • 10/30/09: Freaky Fall Festival at the High Point Community Center, 6pm - 8pm. Everyone in the family is invited to join in on an evening of fun. Kids will enjoy a variety of "frightfully fun" skill challenging games and activities. While the event is free, donations of non-perishable food items for the West Seattle Food Bank are appreciated.
  • 10/31/09: Trick or Treat the Junction Calling all witches, ghouls, goblins, Harry Potters, and parents too. Come to The Junction for trick or treating with participating Junction Merchants, 1pm - 3pm. This annual event is full of surprises.
  • 10/31/09: Fall Harvest Festival at High Point Commons Park Amphitheater, 5pm - 8pm. Costume contest at 7pm. Free.
  • 10/31/09: Skylark's Halloween Battle For The Golden Cowbell at Skylark Cafe & Club,
    3803 Delridge Way SW. It's the third annual Come As You Aren’t Halloween battle of the bands showcase with ten bands performing as another band or concept for just one evening. Each band plays a three-song set to showcase their skills as their chosen band. The winners will be awarded the coveted Golden Cowbell™ and bragging rights until next year.This event is free, 21+, and has always been Skylark's biggest night of the whole year.
