Erbert & Gerbert's in Decatur is offering a free tasting of their subs on Thursday from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Their Managing Parter, Ed Andrist, will be giving a personal introduction from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. Pure Knead will also be there with samples of their dark chocolate brownies.
For those of you who may not know, Erbert & Gerbert's is now offering gluten-free sub sandwiches made on Udi's Gluten Free sub rolls and three flavors of certified gluten-free soups. Their menu now features a 'GF' next to those options that have been vetted as gluten free.
Sandwiches are served on 6" food service hoagie rolls from Udi's Gluten Free, which bear the Gluten Free Certification Organization (GFCO) symbol and they are free of dairy and soy. They are offering three sandwiches in the initial roll out, which are: Boney Billy, a classic turkey breast sandwich, Comet Morehouse, made with ham and provolone cheese, and Jacob Bluefinger, a vegetarian option featuring provolone and avocado. The gluten-free sandwiches are made with dedicated ingredients on a completely separate preparation area complete with dedicated utensils.
Anyone interested in attending can RSVP on their Facebook page or on their Twitter page. Stop by and sample their sandwiches and enjoy a brownie for dessert. What better way to spend your lunch hour?
