With today’s economy, questionable at best, many are unsure of their personal finances. Worry over saving enough for retirement, finding the money for college tuition or simply hoping to make ends meet have a lot of folks concerned.
On Saturday October 23, the city of Mesa will hold “Mesa Financial Planning Day,” a free event that will have financial planners volunteering their time to assist Mesa residents, one on one, on financial issues.
The program was developed by the Financial Planning Association and the U.S. Conference of Mayors and will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center St.
For those planning to attend, the city asks residents to fill out a four-question survey to identify which financial topics they're most interested in. This will help the city structure the program to best meet the needs of those attending the event.
Registration for the event as well as access to the survey can be found online at, http://mesaaz.gov/citymgt/mayorcc/mayor.aspx
