Free film screenings and workshops for kids

Summer is flying by really quickly and yet the kids may already be getting bored. Maybe your wallet is beginning to feel the pinch of summer activities. Make sure you are taking advantage of all the free summer movies I featured at the beginning of summer.

This next event is a great way to introduce your child to art, theater, books and museums.

Mark your calendars for the The Modern Kids - Summer Flick Series offered by the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in conjunction with the Lone Star Film Society. As an added bonus, these film screenings also include free gallery admission for the film attendees and adult chaperone on the day of the screening and free workbooks for each child. Another bonus, these screenings are indoors!

Film screenings for ages 3 - 7 are three short films (each is 3 - 12 minutes in length) making them a perfect fit for this age group. Included with this screening is an interactive workbook which each child will receive to explore the museum galleries and make a connection with the stories they have seen.
