Free Fat Tuesday celebration on February 12 (Video)

In French, Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday. It's the last night to eat rich, fat foods before fasting for Lent. Come chew the fat and listen to free live music at the Original Farmers Market on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on the West Patio.

Let the good times roll as transplanted N'Awlins boy Eddie Baytos & The Nervis Brothers play Zydeco music live. Watch a preview of them here.

Satisfy your taste buds with the best gumbo in town at - what else? - The Gumbo Pot. Jambalaya, and beignets are also on the menu. Or, grab a stool at the French Crepe Company for something sweet or savory.
