Sony has today announced that the DLC pack for Far Cry 3, dubbed "High Tides," will make its debut on January 15. The add-on content will be free and only for the PlayStation 3.
According to the Official PlayStation Blogcast, the co-op content will be an addition to the multiplayer, and will conclude the co-op campaign with new two chapters, "Jailbreak" and "Redemption." Massive Entertainment, developer of the multiplayer component of Far Cry 3, last month detailed the upcoming DLC as the final moments of the original four characters- Leonard, Tisha, Mikhail and Callum- as they make one last attempt to escape the island. Massive promised "new missions, tougher fights, bigger competitions, some great up-close time with your favorite characters, and explosive moments unlike anything you've seen before."
Far Cry 3's High Tide DLC was confirmed as PS3-exclusive last month, so 360 and PC owners are out of luck until the next batch of DLC is released.
