A free presentation, by Senior Aviation Medical Examiner Dr. Robert Sancetta, on current and pending FAA regulations and practices concerning Pilot Medical Certification will take place at 7:00 PM Monday, March 10th, 2014 at the Elite Aviation West Hangar facility at the Vance Brand Municipal Airport in Longmont.
Dr. Sancetta will discuss current and pending regulations and practices relating to FAA Pilot Medical Certification. According to Dr. Sancetta's website, he "has been an AME since 1993. He administers all classes of FAA medical certificates and EKG's. He has an international consulting service assisting pilots "grounded" for various medical problems (heart disease, diabetes, etc.) regain their medical certificates via the "special issuance" process. He also educates pilots with talks to local pilot groups and publications, in his effort to simplify the seemingly impossible maze of FAA medical rules and protocols. Dr. Sancetta is also an 11,000 hour pilot, with type ratings in the DC-10, GIV, and Hawker series aircraft. He has extensive international operational experience along with that as a general aviation pilot. He understands your desire to fly, and looks forward to helping you maintain both a medical certificate and healthy lifestyle."
Pilots, students, and persons interested in aviation are encouraged to attend to get a proper update on requirements and recommendations for obtaining, maintaining, and regaining FAA medical certification.
This event is sponsored by Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 648.
