A leading expert in the field of dyslexia, Susan Barton, will be making a trip to Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday, November 5th to give a free seminar. Barton has been working in the dyslexia field since 1998 and in 2009 was inducted in to the International Dyslexia Association’s Hall of Fame for her work and dedication to the field. She is trained in seven different Orton-Gillingham systems and is the founder of Bright Solutions for Dyslexia.
This seminar will be open to the public and will be a strictly educational, no products will be sold. Susan Barton will address the warning signs of dyslexia, the latest brain research, the genetic link, and effective ways to teach reading and spelling to people with dyslexia. She will also address the new Arkansas Dyslexia Law and its significance to our schools.
The event will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Calvary Chapel in the Ozarks. The address is 2100 W. Perry Road, Rogers, Ark. It is located next to Rogers High School.
