Fantastic. It sounds just as good as the original.
Why does it d-load as being a "single" instead of from the "Stripped Down" album?
Super cool. Thanks, Steve.
If anyone has not been fortunate enough to hear the new mixes, then do it.
This is one of the most refreshing products to come out of the Beatles/Lennon camp in a long time.It sounds quite new and fresh now.I am taken aback by this release yet there is a practice of reworking her songs that has gone on since Milk and Honey.John's songs are clearly remixed with some alternate vocals spliced in that may have been unused or buried originally.Yoko's tracks on the other hand have elements that most certainly were not present on the original multi tracks. In other words, recently added. This gives her an unfair advantage over John in terms of rethinking and creation.I suppose this artistic license has more to do with wanting more focus on her work and also the fact that she signs the cheques.Don't misunderstand this for meaning it sounds bad.It sounds quite good but is definitely reworked and not strictly remixed like that of John's. Still there is no diminishing of the integrity of his songs or intent using what was always there."Woman" for example now sounds even more intimate and Beatlesque in it's timbre and presentation.
