Free Dog Genetics Seminar at Cornell on January 21

If dogs, dog breeding or dog genetics intrigue you, this upcoming seminar at Cornell is perfect for you. For Utica/Rome upstate NY area residents, this is a relatively short drive south and west to the Cornell campus.

Your Dog & Its Genes: The Future of Veterinary Medicine is sponsored by the Medical Genetics Service of Cornell's Veterinary College. Admission and lunch are free for all who RSVP by January 13 to dnabank@cornell.edu. Complimentary puppy packs from Merial will also be given out.

The seminar will cover advances in inherited diseases. Faculty include: several Cornell veterinary specialists, including Drs. Sydney Moise and Bruce Komreich (cardiology), Drs. Rory Todhunter and Ursula Krotscheck (orthopedics), Drs. Margaret McEntee and Kelly Hume (oncology), and Dr. Marta Castelhano (medical genetics) along with Dr. Margret Casal, University of Pennsylvania's specialist in pediatrics, veterinary genetics, and reproduction.
